February is all about diving into the 5 marketing love languages, and our team wanted to share their favorite love language and what it means to them – check it out!

I pick Words of Affirmation for my favorite marketing love language. I feel that in today’s world our culture often leans to the negative. Being negative (in my opinion) is the easy thing to do. Look for the positive in people and in situations and offer words of encouragement, words of motivation and words of inspiration.

My favorite marketing love language would be Words of Affirmation because I value hearing about the successes or impact of a campaign or marketing project. Whether it’s a well-executed launch, a campaign that exceeded its goals, or feedback about how a strategy resonated with an audience, these moments of recognition reinforce my dedication.

My absolute favorite Marketing Love Language is Acts of Service (Teaming up with/supporting other local businesses). Some of my favorite projects, as an Art Director, are those that are local non-profit business. This brings me joy giving them a voice in the community and making their mission shine so others are aware and can contribute, which builds comradery within the community and fosters a stronger relationship!

Receiving gifts (promo products) has to be my favorite marketing love language because it’s a win-win for everyone! As an employee, I love receiving cool swag that lets me promote the company I work for – it can be a great conversation starter that leads to me spreading the word about our services when I’m away from the office. As a customer, there’s nothing better than getting a free little treat from your bank, doctor, etc. that you can use in your day-to-day life. Thanks to promo products, I won’t have to purchase a pen for the foreseeable future!

What’s my favorite Marketing Love Language? Well, as the Social Media Director, creating engaging content (aka Quality Time) is my number one priority. Anyone who works in marketing will tell you the same thing: Crafting compelling content takes some serious dedication to spending quality time with clients, internal team members, digital strangers, and my computer. However, the hours of time and energy pay off when the project is complete and the content is shared, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

As an Art Director, my favorite marketing love language is Physical Touch, or creating custom marketing materials for our lovely clients! For me, the process of designing these materials is both creative and strategic. It’s not just about looking good on the outside—what’s inside matters too: understanding their audience, message, and goals, then bringing that vision to life in a way that feels authentic and impactful!

Acts of Service is my Midwest Marketing love language because I enjoy supporting our clients. Teaming up with local businesses allows us to truly understand their needs, share creative ideas, and work together to achieve their goals. It’s about being a trusted partner, offering guidance, and celebrating their success as if it were our own. Helping our clients thrive is the ultimate reward and the heart of what we do.
